It was a bright and sunny day in the kingdom of Talia. The streets were full of merchants selling food to people, and the air was filled with the sound of music and chatter. All of a sudden, the villagers cleared the path as a knight rode through the crowd atop a fine black stallion. The knight rode through the crowd and went straight ahead to the castle, where he waited patiently for the drawbridge to lower down so he could get into the castle. Upon his entrance, he was greeted by the king.

“Welcome back, Peter. Did the morning hunt go according to plan?” He asked.

“Not exactly” Peter replied. “One of the followers ended up getting caught in the net trap. It took us 20 minutes to get him out! But apart from that, we did well your majesty.”

“That’s good to hear. I hope whoever it was did not cause too much of an problem. Anyway, are you ready? Today is a big day for you!” The king told him.

“Yeah, I know. I finally get to marry Princess Jocelyn.” He replied happily. “Where is she at this point?”

“The Princess is currently upstairs in her room, getting ready. She has been trying her dress on, and she hopes you like how it looks on her.”

“I am sure I will like how it looks on her. I better go upstairs and see if she is ok.” Peter said as he made his way up the spiral staircase.

In her room, Princess Jocelyn was brushing her hair, making sure she looked the part for the big day. “This is it” She thought to herself. “Today I finally get to marry Peter. Its going to be so dreamy!”

All of a sudden, the room shone with a bright light, blinding her only for a moment. When the light died down, she saw a tall imposing figure standing before her, and it was not Peter!

“Well well well…..” He said in a dark voice. “If it isn’t fair Princess Jocelyn. What are you getting ready for?”

“I am getting ready for a wedding, and it would be nice if you would leave the room now!” She said in a slightly annoyed tone of voice.

“Oh, I don’t think I will be doing that any time soon…….” He replied.

“I SAID LEAVE NOW!!!” The princess yelled out as she slapped the guy in the face. He stumbled back a couple of steps before giving her a angry glare.

“You DARE to slap the great wizard Murdoch?!?” He angrily hissed out at her.

She inched back towards the wall nervously. “Wha…………What do you want with me?!?” She blurted out.

“I will tell you what I want….” He said mockingly as he advanced on her.

Just then, Peter opened the door. “Hello? Are you at all……… What the hell?! Leave her alone!!” He yelled out angrily.

“You think you scare me?” Murdoch replied.

Without hesitating, Peter pulled his sword out of the hilt on his back. It was an elegantly carved sword, the handle was in the shape of a dragons head, with green emeralds for the eyes, and the blades tip was split into two like a fork.

“Hmmmm…… I see…….. So you are the one who wields the Dragon Heart Sword.” Murdoch said in a interested tone of voice.

“Yes, I do. And you are the one who I am gonna kill with it!” Peter yelled out as he began to charge at Murdoch.

Murdoch raised up his right arm as Peter charged. Suddenly, Peter was knocked backwards by an invisible force. He was sent flying into the wall, almost knocking him unconscious.

The evil wizard laughed as he waved his arms in front of Princess Jocelyn. A purple light shone around her as she was encased within a bubble.

“PETER!!! PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!” She cried out, but he could barely hear it over Murdoch’s laughter. With a bright flash, both Murdoch and the princess disappeared!

“Princess…………” Peter mumbled as his world went black.

A couple of hours later, Peter awoke. He found he was not in the princess’s room anymore, but was now in his room on his bed. The first thing he saw was the king.

“Peter, you must help us! Murdoch has kidnapped Princess Jocelyn and is holding her hostage!” He shouted.

“The princess………… Oh no! Where is she?!?” Peter asked.

“He has taken her to his tower in the dark forest, and he will only let her go if I surrender the kingdom to him! You must save her!” He pleaded.

“Well……… My head still hurts…….. but I will try my best to retrieve my future bride!” Peter said as he grabbed his sword and shield from his bedside and charged out of the door.

He quickly put his suit of armour back on and rushed out across the drawbridge. He did not take his horse with him, for he did not want to make too much of a noise. Plus he knew just how dangerous the Dark Forest is. It’s an area filled with dangerous creatures, creatures that could easily kill a man if he let his guard down for one second.

Within moments he was outside of the entrance to the forest. The area around the forest was dark and stormy, whilst the sky around the kingdom was sunny and bright. Its most probably dark magic designed to scare off people. But Peter was not easily scared, and he boldly ventured into the woodlands.

It seemed to be quiet in the forest. TOO quiet.

As he carried onwards, he suddenly heard a WHOOSH noise behind him and turned round to see hundreds of giant vines emerging from the ground and the trees.

“I guess he does not like unwelcome visitors!” Peter thought to himself as he pulled out his sword and slashed through the thick vines, slicing them like a hot knife through butter. As he did this, the emerald eyes on the sword handle began to glow. “That’s odd, its never glowed before…..” He thought aloud as he ventured on.

Just a little bit after the first obstacle, he was greeted by another. A giant pitfall. He looked downwards into the hole, it seemed to have no end to it. He thought of a way to get across, and suddenly he got a idea. He took his sword and sliced through one of the trees. The tree was old and rotten, so it was easily chopped. The tree fell towards the pit and formed a makeshift bridge. The wood looked like it could break apart easily and at any second, so he quickly ran across.

After a short walk, the castle was in sight. “Ok……… this is it. I will save you princess!” Peter shouted out, and was unexpentantly greeted by Murdoch’s voice.

“I would not count on that, Knight!” He mocked. “You might have gotten past those obstacles, but you will NEVER be able to make it into my castle!” As he finished, a giant creature emerged from the shadows. But I was unable to see it, it was FORMED from the shadows!

Peter became a little nervous as he tried to find his invisible foe. He kept looking until he was hit in the chest by the unseen creature!

He fell down to the floor, dropping his sword, the green eyes glowing fiercely. He looked up to see his sword floating in mid air, being held by the creature unseen. He tried to get up, when he was struck with his own weapon! A huge bloodied scar opened up across his face as he fell backwards.

“Hmph! That was too easy!” Murdoch ridiculed Peter. “Now unless you want to be completely killed, I would leave now!” He said, but then paused for a moment. The scar that was across his face had started to heal itself, and the sword was glowing brighter and brighter, until the area was engulfed in a brilliant green light. When the light dulled down, the sword was no longer in sight!

“What have you done to my weapon?!?” Peter cried out.

“I have no idea……. But seeing you are no longer armed, I can leave my shadow creature to finish you off!!!” he laughed.

Peter began to get up, when his skin began to itch terribly. “Ahhh, what the hell?” He thought. His armour was starting to grow tighter, as the itching grew worse. He held his hand up to his face, and saw that his skin was beginning to flake off. It looked like he had a bad case of dandruff all over, as his skin flaked off, revealing sharp black scales underneath.

“What the……” He looked on as he felt a pain in his fingers. He looked at his hand as his middle fingers on each hand fused together with the finger next to that, leaving him with three fingers and a thumb per hand. His nails then began to grow outwards, growing thicker and longer, growing sharp points as they turned blue. Soon his once human hands had deadly blue claws extending from his fingers.

His body was completely covered in the scales as blue spikes grew from his wrists, elbows and shoulders as his arms grew thicker and more powerful. His armour began to creak under the pressure of his expanding body. From his back, large blue spikes grew down his spine, tearing through his armour.

The skin on his chest began to itch ten times as worse as large armoured plates of a silver colour replaced his skin, providing him with a thick, armoured chest as his ribs grew outwards. His armour fell to the floor with a clatter as his skeletal structure began to change, shifting from biped to quadruped.

“What is this………… What is happening to me? What am I becoming?” Peter pondered to himself as his legs adjusted, allowing him to walk properly on all fours as he felt his legs grow stronger. He felt his ankles rise up into the air, making him walk on the balls of his feet as a sharp blue claw grew from his heel. His toes began to fuse into three large toes as deadly blue talons grew out from them.

He felt a rather uncomfortable sensation at the base of his spine as a large, scaly tail grew outwards, helping him balance on four clawed legs. The top half covered in black scales, the bottom half with silver scutes, and the tip of the tail had a large scorpion like bar concealing a deadly venom..

He gritted his teeth as he felt a sharp pain in his shoulder blades. It felt like someone was tearing them apart. The pain was too much, and he threw his head back and screamed. But it did not come out as a scream; it came out as a loud, beastial roar.

His shoulders separated as a pair of large wings grew out. Black fingers with silver webbing and blue claws tipped the beautiful and majestic wings.

He felt his neck lengthen as the scales and scutes grew up his neck, it lengthened to some 27ft as he felt a sharp pain in his jaws. His nose began to melt into his face as his nostrils flared wide and moved to the sides of his top lip as his face began to push out into a scaly black dragon beak. He felt his teeth lengthen and sharpen as his tongue grew longer and forked. 5 large blue horns formed on his head as his ears fanned out. His eyes moved to the sides of his head, his eyes turning emerald green as his pupils slitted, ending his change.

He let out a loud roar as his new eyes focused. He could now see the creature that attacked him. He took in a deep breath and let loose a torrent of blue-green flame, roasting the creature. With his sights set on the castle, the dragon that once was Peter flapped his wings and lifted himself off the ground, flying towards the castle.

“Now that he is taken care off, I can make sure that my plans to take over Talia go without failure!” Murdoch laughed maniacally as Princess Jocelyn looked onwards, still trapped within the bubble.

“I would not count on that, Murrrrrrrrdoch!” A voice boomed out.

“Who goes there?” He asked madly.

“It’sssss the one who will rrrrruin yourrrr planssss!” The voice hissed out as the dragon flew above the wizard.

“Who are you?!?” Murdoch questioned the beast.

“Well, my name wasssssss orrrrrriginally Peterrrr Pendrrrragon………… but ssssseeing I am no longerrrr human, that name isssss wrrrrong….. I am Wyrrrraach Urrrr, and I have come to ssssave the prrrrrincessss!” The dragon hissed angrily.

“Peter! Is that really you?!?” The princess asked. The dragon nodded his scaly head.

“How did this happen to you?” She asked.

“I have no idea, and now isssss not a good time to explain. I got to deal with him!”

“You mean that I will deal with YOU!!” Murdoch yelled and cast a bolt of black magic at Wyraach Ur. The dark bolt just bounced off of his silver chest. “What the…..” He looked at the dragon, his eyes wide, like a rabbit in the royal coaches headlights. The dragon lowered his head and picked up Murdoch in his beak. A loud crunching of bones was heard, followed by a GULP. It was over, the wizard was killed. And with that, the bubble encasing the princess shattered, releasing her.

“It’sssss overrrr…. You arrrre sssssafe now!” The dragon smiled as the princess walked over to him.

“I am glad………………… but……….” She murmered.

“But?”

“I was supposed to marry you………….. how can I marry a dragon………..” She asked, nearly in tears.

“I think I know a way” The dragon grinned as his eyes began to glow bright green, engulfing the room. When the light faded, the princess was no more. Standing in her place was another dragon, identical to Wyraach, except she had purple scales, pink scutes, azure blue eyes, and bright yellow claws.

She looked at the dragon with a slight smile. “Thankssss……..”

“You arrrrre welcome, Sssssstarrrrrlight…..” He hissed gently as he leant towards her and kissed her on the beak.

It has been a week since that event. The king now knows about what has happened to both Peter and Princess Jocelyn, and he was ok with the fact that they were now both dragons. They had flown off to a cave on the outskirts of the kingdom to live together and raise their young, and the both of them swore to protect the kingdom from any attacks in the future. The future was bright for Talia, as they were protected well by their scaly guardians, and they all lived happily ever after.

End.
A story i did YEARS ago, and also part of an aborted art trade ( i never got their half X_X )

Hope you like
