It was a clear, sunny morning as Clark heard his alarm clock going off, waking him from his slumber. He had turned 15 today, and as you could imagine, he was pretty excited. He made his way downstairs to see if his parents were up and about, but he couldn't hear either of them. Instead he saw a note on the table. He picked it up and read it.

"Just popped down to the shops to get some food for the party later. Won't be long. Happy birthday kiddo, xxx"

He chuckled a little as he put the note down, wondering if he should make himself some breakfast or to wait for his parents to return. He thought about having a shower first, but before he could head upstairs, he heard a knocking at the door. He went to the door, looking out through the mail slot. He didn't see anyone outside, but when he gazed down, he saw a little brown box on the door mat.

"I wonder what it could be..." He thought, unlocking the door and opening it, bringing the little box in before closing and locking the door up again. He looked over the address and saw that it was addressed to him. The box was pretty plain looking aside from a few doodles of what looked like to be various Pokémon. He slowly opened it up, reaching into the box as his hand went through the plastic packing peanuts, his hand soon brushing against something metal. Grasping the object, he pulled it out and took a look at it.

"Wow..." He gazed at the gold necklace, lined with seven rubies of various sizes, the one in the middle being the largest. It looked like it must have cost a lot to make, the gold gleaming in the morning light. As he ran his hand along it, he found that there was a small piece of paper folded up underneath it. Opening it up, it read:

"I heard it's your birthday. I hope this little gift I found brightens your day up. Signed Hemos."

"Hemos...this must have cost him a lot..." He smiled, looking at the necklace once again. "Well I don't really want to dissapoint him." He went upstairs to his room, looking in the mirror that was attached to the door of his cupboard as he decided to try it on. The clip on the back came open easily enough, so he was able to slip it around his neck with no problems, clipping it back on.

"Hrm... looks pretty good." He grinned, looking at the necklace. After a few seconds, the rubies on it began to glow, a crimson light starting to fill the whole room. "Gah, what the..." He shielded his eyes as it slowly died down.

"What...was that about..." he blinked, rubbing his eyes gently as he looked around. His gaze went back to the pendant, and he noticed the jewels glowing again, the light not shutting off as he felt a shiver run down his spine. He felt a numbing pain fill his form as he dropped to one knee, catching himself against the mirror with his hand.

"Ggg...what...what's going on..." He moaned, trying to push himself back up. As he did so, the mirror began to crack under the weight he was putting on it, his hands cracking a little as they grew larger. The palms swelled into thick pads as his fingers grew longer, two of them fusing into one digit as the fingers grew thicker, huge golden claws emerging from his fingertips.

"Wh...what?!" He gulped, falling backwards as he looked at his larger hands. He noticed that his skin was starting to flake away, human flesh and hair falling to the floor as thick grey scales appeared under his arms. "What's going on?" He sounded a little panic-stricken, watching his arms grow larger, the muscles in them starting to swell up as twisting golden bands materialised just below his elbows, the points of each end a few inches away from each other.

More pain filled his form as he felt his body beginning to grow a little bit, bands of black scales growing around his shoulders as the scales went around his back, a few triangular scales pointing downwards. His pajama top began to grow tighter as he felt his ribcage expanding a little bit, chest barrelling outwards as scutes began to form over his chest, red and black stripes going from his neck to his hind quarters.

"This... looks familiar..." He blinked, looking at the scales as his top split open, revealing his muscled scaly chest, feeling the scales with his claws. As he did, there was another jolt of pain as he felt a pair of large bumps on his sides. Looking down, he saw the bumps growing larger and larger, culminating in another pair of arms growing out of his sides. They were pretty much identical to his upper pair, and felt just as powerful.

"It can't be..." He found himself smirking a little, feeling another bump forming on the base of his spine now as the muscles in his legs swelled, tearing the weak fabric apart as the bump grew outwards, a long, powerful tail extending from his spine as a band of gold scales appeared near the tip of it.

"But it is..." His smile grew wider as his legs grew to be as thick as his arms, golden bands forming below the knees as his feet grew and cracked, heels rising upwards as his toes grew larger, fusing together into three large digits, golden claws growing from his toes. He let out a loud groan as one more pair of bumps formed on his shoulders, quickly growing out into a pair of pitch black wings, looking like they were woven from the shadows themselves, A trio of huge red spikes lining them.

He let out a louder groan as his neck cracked and extended, growing longer and thicker as his head was lifted around a foot from his shoulders. Thick golden bands appeared as it grew, gently clasping around the back of his neck. To finish it all, his jaws cracked and popped, growing larger and broader. The scales around his face turned pitch black, his hair falling away, eyes moving to the sides as they turned blood red, the whites of his eyes turning black. His ears shrank into the sides of his head as his teeth grew into long, sharpened fangs. To add the finishing touches, a golden helmet-like structure grew around his head, two large metal spikes jutting around the sides of his muzzle as a large crescent shape sat atop his head.

Clark was silent for a few moments, looking over himself at the mirror. Just a few moments ago, he was a roughly four and a half foot tall human being. Now he was an eight foot tall anthromorphic Giratina, wings gently spread behind him as he gently flapped them.

"This...is awesome!" He laughed, checking out his form. He tried moving his new arms, moving both pairs at once before he slowly got used to moving the new limbs independantly.

The glow that came from the gems died down now as the clip on the necklace sprang open, dropping to the ground, its job done. He picked it up from the floor and looked over it, smiling gently.

"Hemos...thank you so very much for this." He purred gently, not noticing the shadow cast in his room from the window, the large black and red Shadow Lugia smiling softly as he slid a note in through the window, letting out a roar as he flew off. At the sound of the roar, Clark turned around, noticing the note falling to the floor. He walked over and picked it up.

"From the looks of it you really enjoyed my present. I'm going to be holding a party with some of your friends later. Arctic and Dsarvess will be there was well waiting for you. Hopefully now that you're a dragon you shouldn't have much trouble getting out of here. See you around 7pm. Signed Hemos."

Clark smiled wide as he rushed to the window, just catching the shape of the Shadow Lugia as he flew off.

He knew that this was going to be a very great day indeed.
As it's :iconmintgreenightmare:'s birthday tomorrow, I decided to do this little gift for him.

I've never done a Giratina before, so it was a bit of an interesting challenge ;)

Enjoy, and happy birthday Mint! *hugs and gives an extra large cake*
